Reliability Since 1925
Hubert "Buzz" Grane started in the trucking business in 1925 with his brother-in-law, hauling machinery into Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana. By year's end, the operation expanded to six trucks. After thirty-five years of business, Buzz and his son Hubert "Bud" Grane, Jr. branched out into the tractor, trailer and truck leasing business by forming GRANE LEASING CORPORATION.

In 1964, Bud Grane established GRANE TRANSPORTATION LINES, LTD., acting as a regional common and contract motor carrier. After outgrowing our old terminal, in 1970, GRANE'S headquarters moved to a 14 acre site at 1001 South Laramie Avenue in Chicago. Our warehousing roots began at the 115,000 square foot facility. Two buildings have been added in Chicagoland, bringing a total of over 500,000 square feet and are utilized for both public and contract warehousing purposes.

Bud's sons Allan and Paul propel GRANE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRIES into the 21st Century. GRANE'S 3rd generation is committed to continuing the tradition of SERVICE EXCELLENCE.
